Note that the Panzano wine festival, "Vino al Vino", takes place one week later.

Transport to the Wine Fair

If you plan to taste a lot of wine it might be a good idea to rent some transport with a driver to attent this event.

Chianti Classico wine festival - every year on second weekend of September and the preceding Thursday and Friday, 7 - 10 Sept 2023. On Thursday, the festival starts at about 5 pm, and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at about 11 am and the stands close at about 8 pm.

The idea is that you buy a wine glass from the Segretaria along with a ticket that allows you to taste up to eight of the wines offered at the stands. I have heard but not seen that they can run out of glasses.

Taste at the Expo pavilion or at our tasting room on our wine estate.

Some wineries that have their wines available in the Consortium Pavilion in Piazza Matteotti, will also be offering wine tastings and wine sales at their vineyards.

We strongly recommend that you try (and buy) the wines of Pieve di San Cresci Winery.

This year Pieve di San Cresci will not be in the main piazza of Greve to present our wines directly as we usually do, but you will still find our Chianti Classico wines for tasting at the Consortium Pavilion during the Expo this weekend.

In addition, we look forward to seeing you at Pieve di San Cresci Winery for tastings of the entire range of our wines.
