Angela is a qualified sommelier as well as a licensed NCC driver who specialises in wine tours of Chianti and the areas of southern Tuscany around Montelcino and Montepulciano in the Val d’Orcia, where Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Brunello are produced. She conducts her tours by comfortable, air conditioned minibus, and does both private wine tours<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and shared wine tours<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The main reasons to take an organised wine tour<\/strong> rather than do it yourself are as follows. First and foremost, with a tour you see a huge amount more in a day than you could ever do by yourself. And, of course, your guide ensures that the wineries are open when you arrive, often has access to beautiful locations that are not normally open to the public, and provides a knowledgeable commentary on the wines themselves, the wineries and the sights you see en route<\/em>. Last but not least, you can drink the wines you’re tasting and not have to worry about driving afterwards. A do it yourself wine tour using a rental car is somewhat cheaper, but in the end you have to take into account the value of your time in Tuscany.<\/p>\n
