Both towns have good restaurants and there are even better restaurants out in the country.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Church of Santa Maria Assunta built into the remains of the castle of Panzano, there are two ancient and charming churches near Panzano &#8211; the <strong>Pieve (Parish Church) of San Leolino<\/strong> and the <strong>Oratory of Saint Euphrosynus,<\/strong> both of which are worth a visit. The walled <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a title=\"Montefioralle\" href=\"\/tuscany\/castello-di-montefioralle\/\"><span style=\"color: #3399ff;\"><strong>mediaeval village of Montefioralle<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span> is a few minutes drive away and just beyond that is the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a title=\"Badia a Passignano\" href=\"https:\/\/www.badia-a-passignano.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #3399ff;\"><strong>Abbey of Badia a Passignano<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Panzano in Chianti is well-known for two fairs that take place here. One is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a title=\"Vino al Vino\" href=\"https:\/\/www.panzano.com\/vino-al-vino\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #3399ff;\"><strong>Vino al Vino<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span>, the wine festival held on the third weekend in September and the preceding two days, and the other is the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a title=\"Festa della Buon Stagione\" href=\"https:\/\/www.panzano.com\/festa-della-stagion-bona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #3399ff;\"><strong>Festa della Stagion Buona<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span> held on 25 April (Liberation Day), with a procession in Renaissance costumes, a mediaeval play and plenty of food and wine stands.<\/p>\n<p>Panzano is also home to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a title=\"Dario Cecchini\" href=\"https:\/\/www.panzano.com\/dario-cecchini-the-famous-butcher-of-panzano-in-chianti\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #3399ff;\"><strong>Dario Cecchini, a well-known butcher<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span> and enthusiast for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a title=\"Bistecca alla fiorentina\" href=\"https:\/\/www.chianti.info\/bisteccaallafiorentina.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #3399ff;\"><strong>bistecca alla fiorentina &#8211; Florentine beefsteak<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span>.
