Vacation Accommodations
We offer a newly-renovated vacation apartment located in Montefioralle, a castellated village voted one of the most beautiful villages of Italy. The apartment is in traditional style with original terracotta floors and beamed ceilings, and consists of a large bedroom with double bed and children's bunk bed, a living room with its antique fireplace and a sofabed, and a modern bathroom. The kitchen/dining room is accessed down a staircase of pietra serena and is equipped with a gas stove, and refrigerator, plus dining table, chairs and everything else needed for meals. We also provide television, an iron and ironing board, plus a safe.
The apartment has a narrow balcony large enough for chairs but not for deck chairs or dining. There is a splendid view from the windows and the balcony out over the vineyards and the Chianti hills.
Montefioralle is an ideal place for young children to be on holiday. There is almost no traffic within the castle and it is full of passageways, nooks and crannies that we know from experience provide endless amusement for children.

Minimum 2 nights
Winter 1 November 2008 to 31 March 2009 Excluding Christmas / New Year 2008 and Easter 2009 50 euros per night for 1 or 2 persons. 55 euros per night for 3 or 4 persons.
Gas consumption for heating during winter costs 4 euros per cu.m. Summer Christmas / New Year 2008 and Easter 2009 1 April 2009 to 31 October 2009

We request a deposit of 30% paid by bank transfer to confirm your reservation. This deposit is forfeited for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to arrival. The balance should be paid upon arrival in cash.
Montefioralle is a fairly stiff 1.5 km climb up from Greve in Chianti which lies half way between Florence and Sienna on the Chiantigiana wine road. A car is recommended but not essential. You can travel between Florence and Greve by comfortable SITA bus, and either walk or take the Greve taxi up to the village. Walking down is an easy and enjoyable 20 minute stroll.
