"La Rimbecca", a restored mediaeval Tuscan farmhouse, is located on a hill top almost 500 m above sea level overlooking Greve-in Chianti in the centre of the Chianti Classico wine zone, almost exactly half way between Florence and Siena. The property covers 40 acres, of which 4 acres immediately round the house are cultivated with vines, olives and fruit trees. You have sole use of our large heated swimming pool.
The house is located at the end of a 1.5 mile non-sealed road and there is almost no through traffic, guaranteeing maximum tranquility and a great place for children to run free.

The covered outside BBQ area, conveniently situated close to the kitchen, will seat ten people under cover. Olive prunings for kindling and firewood for the BBQ are available free on request. This area can be a welcome refuge from the sun on really hot days or half shade can be achieved by moving the table into the shade of the adjoining olive tree.
The old arched building beside the swiming pool is set up as a table tennis room with an all weather table. There is also a fridge for keeping drinks cool.

There are no additional heating or electricity charges and firewood for the indoor fireplace is free.
Payment Conditions
We require a 20% deposit by UK cheque or a bank transfer to confirm a booking, and the remaining 80% to be paid 56 days prior to the start of your stay. A refund of 50% will be made on cancellation 28 days or more before the start date and thereafter 100% is forfeit. Credit cards not accepted.
From Florence (also Pisa and Bologna) there are several options, the easiest being to take the SS 222 (La Chiantigiana) through Grassina and Strada to Greve. As you approach the outskirts of Greve, take the right-hand turn to Montefioralle, descend past the traffic light and take the first turn to the left. Then follow the red dots on our map.
You can also take the Florence to Siena motorway and exit at San Donato. Follow the poorly sign-posted route past Badia a Passignano and before reaching Montefioralle, turn right towards Panzano and then follow our map. This route can also be used if you are coming from Siena.
From Panzano, follow the road signposted Mercatale but turn to the right quite soon following our map.
