Podere Barberino farmstay vacation rooms in Tuscany
Podere Barberino is a working winery that offers six large and comfortable vacation rooms with attached bathrooms. All rooms have independent entrances for the gardens.
Two rooms are air conditioned.
One room is specially equipped for easy access by handicapped persons.
Parking space is readily available.
Communal cooking facilities are available with both indoor and outdoor dining possibilities. In season, you can buy fresh vegetables and fruit from the farm. There are numerous grassy outdoor areas equipped with tables and chairs, and suitable for sunbathing and relaxing. Large and small barbeques are available, and the wine and olive oil of the farm can be purchased.
Traditional Tuscan meals can be arranged with the owners.
Podere Barberino is about 1 km from the village of Chiocchio where there are restaurants and groceries. Chiocchio lies on the scenic Via Chiantigiana that runs from Florence to Siena. There is a SITA bus stop at Chiocchio and the bus ride to and from Florence takes 45 minutes. It is a pleasant stroll to Chiocchio to eat out or catch the bus.
Children are especially welcome at Podere Barberino where there are animals to look at and plenty of open space where they can play safely. A small soccer field is available.

Our rooms are located in two buildings. To the east are two double rooms next to the building housing the kitchen facilities and the covered dining terrace. These rooms are air conditioned.
To the west, there are four double rooms, each with an outside sitting area. As for all of our rooms, an additional child's bed or a cot may be requested.

From the north - Bologna/Florence - A1 superstrada: Exit at Firenze Sud. Drive south following the SR 222 for Grassina, Strada and Greve in Chianti. The next village after Strada is Chiocchio. Immediately after the restaurant "La Locanda il Gallo", turn left onto the road to Mugnana. After ca. 300 m you will see a dirt road on the right signposted: "AGRITURISMO PODERE BARBERINO".
From the south - Rome - A1 Superstrada: Exit at Incisa Valdarno. Follow the directions for Figline Valdarno, then continue onwards to Greve in Chianti. At the traffic light in Greve, turn right and continue on northwards in the direction of Florence towards Chiocchio, and then as above.
From Sienna: Follow the via Chiantigiana (SR 222) through Castellina and Greve in Chianti to Chiocchio, and then as above.
