Podere Capiteto is a working farm that belongs to the Agnoloni family and covers seven hectares (17.3 acres) of Chianti hill country near Impruneta to the southwest of Florence. We produce organic olive oil and a smaller amount of wine.
Podere Capiteto is an ideal vacation base for those who wish to enjoy the tranquility and pleasant summer temperatures of the Tuscan hills while still having easy access for day trips into Florence.
We have two mountain bikes available to our guests, and horses may be rented from the property next door for those who would like to explore our area on horseback.
Impruneta is 3 km away (just over one mile) along country roads with little traffic. The entire distance is almost flat, so those who like to walk can easily reach Impruneta, with its shops, restaurants and terracotta kilns, on foot.
Our Holiday Apartments
Part of our farmhouse has been converted into three apartments for use as vacation accommodations. Each vacation apartment accomodates 2 (+1) persons. The apartments are newly restored, each with a comfortable living room combined with a fully equipped cooking area, a bedroom for two and a modern bathroom. In addition to the bedroom, a sofa bed can be added in the living room.
Outside there are several tiled terrace areas and an extensive grassed area under the olive trees where our guests are free to eat meals, sun bath and relax. Our entire property is open for walking and there are many beautiful walking paths through the neighbouring countryside.

We request a 30% deposit paid by bank transfer at the time of confirmation of your reservation. This deposit is forfeited for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to arrival. The balance should be paid upon arrival in cash.

How to reach Podere Capiteto from Florence
Podere Capiteto is very convenient for visits to Florence by car and public transport, and Impruneta is only 3 km away. We also recommend a visit to Greve in Chianti and Montefioralle.
By car:
- from from the Autostrada A1 Exit at Firenze Certosa and follow the signs to Tavarnuzze, and then from Tavarnuzze towards Impruneta. From Impruneta, follow the signs in the direction to Firenze (Via Imprunetana to Pozzolatico). After 3 kilometers you will arrive at Monteoriolo (a very small village) and at this point turn left at Via Riboia and after 500 meters on the right you will see the gate of Agroturismo Podere Capiteto at Via Riboia 4.
- from Florence airport or Santa Maria Novella railway station Find the route towards Grassina and from Grassina continue in the direction of Impruneta. Before reaching Impruneta, turn towards Monteoriolo and from there to Via Riboia 4.
By bus:
The CAP bus stop for Florence (via Nazionale) is 600 m from our gate. You can easily walk there or drive and leave your car there so as not to have to drive in the Florence traffic. In addition, the buses go right into the centre of Florence where most car traffic is prohibited. Click here for the CAP bus timetables.
