In the heart of the Chianti Classico region, immersed in nature, among the vineyards, cypress trees and olive groves, "Ancora del Chianti" farmhouse is only 5 km outside the town of Greve in Chianti, situated on a hilltop with spectacular view. We offer double / twin bedroom for 2 and 3 persons.

Immersed in nature, among the Chianti vineyards, cypress trees and olive groves, "Bed & Breakfast Ancora del Chianti" is only 20 km from Florence and 40 km from Siena, centrally located between the Tuscan cities of art, and therefore an ideal base for those wishing to explore Tuscany. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the Greve valley and across the extended Florentine Chianti landscape. The property is also surrounded by a large garden with beautiful plants and flowers.
Laura looks after the guests’ arrival and follows their stay with every detail. She is always happy to recommend restaurants, excursions, events and local points of interest in the area. She personally decorated the interior of the property and in particular loves to paint the flowers from the garden in watercolour. Her latest discovery is creative needlework.
At Bed & Breakfast Ancora del Chianti we speak English, French, German and Spanish and actively promote sustainable tourism. Ancora del Chianti offers its guests a peaceful holiday in a simple and well-kept environment, in harmony with nature, where the frenetic pace of life can slow down, allowing guests to re-adjust to their own rhythm and to simply rejuvenate in the large and panoramic garden with hammocks, deck chairs and . . . tranquillity.
The bed and breakfast offers double and twin rooms accommodation, all situated on the ground floor, with en suite bathrooms. Each room is different in terms of size and furnishings and reflects the owners' passion for art, creativity and the Chianti countryside.
Laura has managed to retain the typical rustic style of the farmhouse, adding discreet personal touches which, alongside her watercolours, enhance the surroundings with refreshing originality. All the rooms are equipped with mosquito nets and coffee and tea making facilities for guests to prepare hot beverages in the privacy of their own room.
Each bedroom has direct access to the spacious garden where guests can use the chairs, tables and hammocks to make the most of the natural setting and the views. Breakfast is prepared from 8.30 am to 10.00 am on the shaded outdoor terrace or in one of the pleasant indoor communal areas.
A kitchen with a gas stove and a coffee-maker is at guests' disposal. Here our guests may prepare their own dinner and taste our wonderful local products while feeling at home in Chianti.

From FLORENCE or ROME: From the A1 motorway (Autostrada A1 E35), exit at Firenze Sud and follow the signs for Siena and Greve in Chianti on the SR222. Pass through the towns of Grassina, Strada in Chianti, Chiocchio, Spedaluzzo, Le Bolle and in the village of GRETI (20.7 km after starting out on the SR222), follow the signs for "Ancora del Chianti". Take the road leading you up the hill, which eventually becomes a country lane. Drive slowly and after 1.5 km turn left. Keep to the right at the next sign which indicates the last 400 m. The house is at the end of the lane. Welcome !
From SIENA: From Siena take the SR222 towards Castellina in Chianti. Once you have passed through Catellina and the town of Greve in Chianti, you will come to the small town of GRETI where you will see signs for “Ancora del Chianti”. Continue as above.
From PISA: Take the highway FI-PI-LI (Firenze - Pisa Livorno) indicated with the blue signs, towards Firenze and exit at Ginestra Fiorentina, (the next exit after Montelupo Fiorentino). From here follow the signs for Cerbaia and San Casciano. From San Casciano follow the signs to Greve in Chianti (do not take the highway to Siena). Pass through the town of Mercatale, still heading for Greve in Chianti, and after the town of Passo dei Pecorai in the small town of GRETI follow the signs for "Ancora del Chianti", and continue as above.
